HOW TO MAKE CUSTOM FACERIG AVATAR SOFTWARE
I've started to become more active with twitch streaming and would really like to have my own 3D character model in Facerig.I am looking for a model prepared for use with the software FaceRig. Given my name, I'm looking for someone to create a fully functioning 3D Facerig Moose model based on the concept art I'm still currently working on (I will attach a WIP of the 2D concept).

While I am an artist and a professional in the video game industry myself (I am more of a 2D and User Interface artist, myself), I just don't currently have the time to dive into 3D modeling and figuring out how to properly rig things and get the hang of the Facerig pipeline. I respect the quality of work a talented artist puts into projects like these, and I fully expect to compensate you for your trouble and effort! With that being said, I know how valuable a professional artist's time is. I am willing to offer up a down payment on the project up front as a show of good faith and pay the remainder when the project is complete. I require some example(s) of prior work before committing to anything. I am also looking for someone who responds relatively quickly and who can produce a rather quick turn-around. I prefer not to send a question and wait for a response for 3-5 days, ask a follow-up question and have to wait another 3-5 days for a response, etc.

I understand life can be full of real-world challenges and chock full of duties and 'adulting'-type responsibilities however, I really am looking for professional artists here who can communicate, be respectful (I fully intend to be the same), and complete the project in a reasonable time frame. I'd prefer not to wait 3+ months to complete this project, especially since I will be providing the 2D concept myself.

If you're interested, please feel free to get a hold of me either through this thread or directly through a private message. Please bear in mind, the attached image really is still a work in progress! While I've started shading on the irises, I haven't done much else to show depth on the character yet. I have yet to add ears and a body to him. Hi there, LadyLyreBird! Thank you so much for your response and samples! You have some great work up on your channel - definitely like some of your chibi work, for sure! I should have a more fully fleshed out concept finished by the end of the week.Ĭurrent budget: $500-$750 willing to negotiate privately. I've only barely scratched the surface of how to handle content creation in Facerig. Their documentation, according to a youtube video I've found, is out there, but not super intuitive. And they have next to nothing online when it comes to video tutorials, which is a shame. This is no offense to you, but I'd rather prefer someone who has knowledge of FaceRig and their implementation pipeline - to be more specific, I know you have certain financial expectations and quotes in mind as it pertains to your normal workflow, which I don't intend to greatly stray from. I am only concerned that Facerig could present a lot more pitfalls than you might normally anticipate and wind up either bloating some of these estimates down the road or, and this is my bigger concern as a fellow artist, you decide out of the good nature of your heart to swallow the cost/time invested in learning the Facerig pipeline to satisfy this project (I've seen this happen before).

If you really have no problem fighting with Facerig to produce an interactive 3D model, well, I'm cool with that myself! I'm just trying to give you fair warning that going down the Facerig rabbit hole might be more trouble than it's worth, assuming this is a one-shot deal for you.

But, working on a project like this could lead to more 3D projects in the future. I have an updated concept image of the Moose character I'd like to have created in 3D.

I have yet to create his upper body, but it'll be in line with what you're seeing here.
